Dr. Lawrence is the colleague who is in the OSU Student Health Center.

He works I believe two half days per week and then has a regular practice in

Corvallis.

He tells me that the medical staff works well with him and is more than

willing to refer and do. The medical director who is a great gal is really

the key to getting this thing through.

I've been working on UofO but this is turning out to be a much tougher sells

job but I'm still working on them. What would be helpful here is to have

students asking for chiropractic care, so have your patients or family

members who will be attending U of O ask the medical director but also

specifically the Academic Dean who's button we can really push and who can

dictate to the Health Center to add a DC to the staff.

Dr. Lawrence can be reached at 541-752-9918 and the medical director

Jasman, MD can be reached at 541-737-7576 and as I say she is a wonderful

woman.

However, it is against the rules of the listserve to copy, print, forward,

or otherwise distribute correspondence written by another member without his

or her consent, unless all personal identifiers have been removed.

Ha, ha. We went through that last fall at the University of Oregon. My

daughter went in to have her ankle checked out and was told chiro care not

available here. Lots of other providers though. She was offered boatloads

of testing and drugs, all of which she declined. (I didn't raise a dummy).

Somehow, we need to change that. We pay for the institutions of higher

learning and their medical clinics. Excluding us is wrong and like in all

other situations (military, etc) precludes people having more effective

care. Obviously, politics at work.

Ann....you need to consider writing a letter to the Dean who oversees this

Clinic.
