The tested, patented CLA brand name, Tonalin, is available from

Vitaminshoppe.com in 1000mg caps for $14.47...in september, anyway. I

haven't found it to do anything for my weight but it does help my skin. I

probably need more lipase to make all the good fats work . (no medical

advice. no financial benefit)

There has been alot of hype recently about the benefits of CLA as a

cure all of all kinds of conditions: muscle loss with age, body fat

reduction particularly around the stomach region, diabetes etc. etc.

Here is a more balanced view of the benefits of CLA, and a description

of CLA:

http://www.smartbomb.com/gensym-1.html

Does anyone know more about CLA? And perhaps have read some research

that seems trustworthy?

Hi Rad:

I have several times the past two years posted stuff here on the

negative aspects of CLA. If you were to search using the now much

improved search function, using the terms " conjugated " or " CLA "

I am sure you will find them.

You will find some allegedly positive findings for the substance

too. So you have to place yer bet. My bet is to avoid it wherever

possible, fwiw.

Rodney.

, CLA (conjugated linoleic (or linolenic?) acid) works well for

building muscle for me. I am muscular by build; when I take it, i get

really muscular! This despite being ill. It seems to work even without

exercise. I buy mine from beyond-a-century since their prices are less

than most places. jo
