FWIW, my dr said to come in at the first sign of flu, because they have mediators which shorten the extent. The problem is the last time, it was not easily identified as the flu - the symptoms can be different. Temperature, diarrhea, soreness, weakness, did not occur in the same sequence as the past episodes.

And the duration was extended - bad stuff.
