Wonderful news today, our friend in the legislature a chiropractic patient of Dr. Herb Freeman Rep. Dalto has just been appointed Chair of the Interim Health Committee!

This is wonderful for the profession and if all continues to go our way it looks like we may have as many as five legislators that our chiropractic patients on the six member House Health Committee next session!

My friend and our advocate Rep. Jim just after being appointed State Representative (Dallas) due to Rep. Lane Shatterly's leaving, was then appointed to the same committee with Rep. Dalto, who is now Chair.

Folks all of our hard work, grass roots, your contributions to ICE PAC, and the behind the scenes work of our lobbyist Marshall Coba is paying off...we need only to stay involved, stay the course!

Thanks to all of you who continue to step up when asked, your commitment to this profession is making a real difference more than you know!

But key to our recent successes and those we will most assuredly achieve in the very near future are absolutely due to the collective input and work of all of us. So many colleagues are now stepping up and getting involved and our numbers are growing every darn day, it's so very exciting, fun, and heartwarming.

Thanks to Vern and his enormous energy, wonderful work is being done and strong legislative relationships are being forged. We here in Eugene have an opportunity to contribute and expand that political base. Tomorrow (Tuesday), the CAO will be sponsoring a 'coffee' from 12 - 2 at Chiropractic, 59 Santa Clara Ave, to support Colbath. This talented lady is running for the House of Representatives from District 8, here in Eugene. She is an avid fan of chiropractic as well as an experienced CPA and community leader. We look forward to seeing as many Eugene DCs as can cut loose and join us. Please consider bringing a check for $50 - 100 to assure her successful campaign.

there in Eugene tomorrow. I've been attending some of the functions

Vern has arranged here in the Salem area and have talked to a number of

key legislators attending these events. I must say that the respect

Vern is garnering for our profession is nothing short of miraculous!

But it only works if we support the effort by showing up with a check

for $50 or $100...a mere pittance for favorable representation in the

legislature.
