Guest guest
A good friend with an ICD is currently in the hospital with degenerative joint disorder/osteo-arthritis. The pain is very debillitiating, and so far meds are not helping nearly enough. About twenty-five years ago an old girlfriend (She's even older now--about fifteen years older if you believe her.) severely hurt her back and was in constant pain. the docs then used a battery powered electric unit with strapped to her waist and with leads to her lower spine to alleviate that pain. It apprently worked very well. I'm sure the technology has improved a great deal since. My question is whether or not the ICD would allow such a low-powered electrical device to be used safely. Anyone know? From California where of all the degenerative joints in the world, why did osteoarthritis have to come into mine? Bil
