DAMN! Is this the Kathy and Sara that live in TN??? I met them a couple of

summers ago. They were in Destin, FL and came in to eat at the restaurant in

Ft Walton Beach that I work in. Kathy is MUCH TOO YOUNG TO DIE!! Let's

PRAY!!!

It's Kathy's mom who is ill and yes, she did visit you a few years ago in

Florida.

I forgot to add to my earlier message, Kathy asked how can she explain this to

It is very difficult to explain to a child. My granddaughter, who is six

now, still asks if she can go visit her granddaddy in heaven!

There is a book called Nana Upstair, Nana Downstairs that explains about

grandparents dying. It's on about a 4, 5, 6 yr old level. We used it for my

neices when my sister died.

We didn't really try to " explain " to Sheila what death was when my dad died

this fall. We just told her that papa had died which meant we would not see him

anymore. The first few times we went to my parents home following his death

she would ask if she was going to see papa. After the third time she asked she

immediately followed up with: " no, he died like . " ( was one of our

dogs who died a few years ago.)
