Guest guest
First, HR can stay lower because BP rises faster. Second, I question: Their study involved 1,378 men between 42 to 61 years of age who had no coronary heart disease. The subjects were a representative sample of 1378 men, 42-61 years of age, from eastern Finland with neither prior coronary heart disease (CHD) nor use of beta-blockers at baseline. PMID: 16399774 How did they establish no cardiac problems? I think they would have to do an angiogram to establish that. Why would someone with no heart disease have "blunted" HR increase? Regards.
