Guest guest
Hi All I am doing fine health wise. My last stress test showed a big improvement from the last one. I visited my 3 grandsons last month in Florida. It was great to see them. The trip is much too long to drive though. They moved there this past summer. I miss them terribly. Yes the holidays are coming and now the real hustle and bustle starts. I do love this time of the year. That is so great to hear that Guin is doing so well. I could stand to lose a few pounds myself. Great going and enjoy your trip. I will try and make the chat, I went there once and there was only one person there. What time is good to show. Well take care everyone !! Guest guest
Gail, I can hear my valve clicking so I know I am alive. I wonder if the next version of an ICD should come with the ability to store MP3 files. We could play music so that when we hold babies we would have an advantage over the not so fortunate folks who didn’t have an Ipod built-in.  They would have to figure out how to charge the battery without surgery and wireless communication to the ICD, but that should be easy. LOL I happen to love holding babies. There isn’t anything quite like holding a baby against your chest and feeling their soft hair on your chin. Best medicine available unless they are hungry and their mother is nowhere to be found. The biggest disadvantage to nursing moms is that grandpa can’t feed the baby. I’ll try to remember the chat tomorrow night. The last time I joined the chat I received a long distance call and an IM using AIM. I am getting too old to keep up with three conversations at once. I had my brother-in-law on speakerphone and forgot that my computer speaker is only inches from the phone. He kept hearing the sounds of barking whenever I received a message. Be careful what sounds you activate in a chat session. Guest guest
Hi to all, Glad to hear so many are around and doing good. Congrats Guin!! Heart wise I am doing great.... but I need to try again for the weight loss surgery. Doc said since my heart has been quiet for a while now that my chances are better to get a Doc to do it. There is still some risk but a lot less than before. I am going to wait till after the holidays to do it because of the kids. This will be our first Christmas in the new house and we are all looking forward to decorating and enjoying the holidays. Hugz to all and hope we all have a great Thanksgiving. I know I have a lot to be thankful for this year.

Just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you too and hoping the days are getting a little bit easier. Guest guest
Hi guys-- I'm up and down. Heartwise things seem okay, but the huge dose of diltiazem I'm still on is making my ankles and legs swell painfully, and the ICD site still hurts, a dull constant ache that is very depressing. I'm hoping they'll take me off warfarin soon; I developed a clot on my leads just after implantation in May and I've been on warfarin since June. I've been in the ER once recently when I kept getting these strange spells where my heart would kinda lurch and I'd get very tired afterwards, but nothing was wrong. I'm on my own 99.5% of the time or more as far as the pacemaker is concerned, and knock wood, no shock yet. Here's hoping increased good health for all of us for the upcoming holidays. Guest guest
Hello to all... I'm doing OK here...still doing cardiac rehab exercise and today beginning to work with the diabetic educator folk. I've been having trouble keeping my blood sugars in any kind of control. Hopefully there will be some suggestions and answers coming today. Have any of you heard of a drug called something like byetta? It's for diabetes, it's not insulin and yet it's injectible. They are going to try this one on me...and it has a side effect of assisting weight loss. Which is good - because my cardiologist wants me about 10 pounds underweight (hmmm...that will be a first). But I seem to be holding my own... mac+
