Guest guest
My own personal opinion is that many people just can't seem to think long term. They live for the moment only. If they considered or could imagine the consequences, nobody would smoke, everyone would be normal weight and would exercise discipline in eating, and would exercise period (as in movement). This is the same reason that in the States, there is an abysmally low savings rate for retirement. IMHO people don't (or can't seem to) think ahead to the day when this will be vital to their future. on 1/11/2006 10:08 PM, Rodney at perspect1111@... wrote: Hi Leanne: The question this raises for me is why is it that many people, although a small minority, are able to get a grip on themselves and decide to do what they know is in the best interests of their health, while others, the majority by far, are quite incapable of doing so?
