Guest guest
Kathy - I really feel for you all and hope all of this passes as quickly as it possibly can and that somehow you can avoid getting it. I could be wrong here but isn't the flu a VIRUS and antibacterial products kill BACTERIA as opposed to viruses? Someone clarify this b/c I have always wondered. in Dallas

Guest guest
I am so glad that they finally got Sara and Your DH on something that can help them both. Oh I bet that taste of freedom sure was sweet. Now YOU< get enough rest, drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated and be as diligent as you can. Let's hope this passes over and you do not get it!! Loree Home from the Dr HI Just got home from the Drs. office with Sara and they said " yes she does have the flu, " which strain they don't know so they scheduled the flu shot for her next week (in case this isn't the bad strain) The DR has a shipment coming in that he's saving for high risk kids, Sara is now high risk with the epilepsy. They did a strep test which came back neg. YIPPEE for that They put her on Tamiflu (an anti-viral agent that treats the influenza A & and a narcotic cough suppressant with orders to stay in. Sara's Ped was afraid she would pick this up, being at the children's hospital is not really the best place to be if avoiding the flu. Hubby went back to the DR and he got a narcotic cough suppressant and I haven't heard a peep (really a bark lol) out of him in a couple hours. Both Drs. said they would bet money that I get this flu sooooooooooo I invested in every antibacterial product I could find at Walgreens ............. I will be diligent !!!!!!! On the way to the Walgreens, first time Ive been alone in weeks lol the song " Where is Christmas " came on the radio, I almost bawled, Faith Hill was singing to me. I did tell the gal at Walgreens that Id be back to Christmas shop .......... this is the only place Ive been in weeks besides the Drs. offices " Thank you " to everyone who has been supporting me and being my shoulder, I cant imagine going through all of this without you all. I finally called a friend here about Sara's illnesses and she told me that she just read it on the list (I forgot she gets the digest version) and she was fixing to call me ....... she too is so worried for her child since kids at school are dropping out of class like flies.
