I also have a V-243. Just out of curiosity, I have called the law firm and will be interested in what they have to say. Once I have that info, I'll talk to my docs, I think. mac+O'Donnell Family <sunny@...> wrote: I have a V-243, it's listed in the lawsuit website. No problems with mine so far though. How serious are the problems supposed to be? I asked my EP when I first got the ICD what would happen if there were problems

with the ICD, he said they usually just leave them in, because going through an ICD change-out is generally more risky than the small chance of a malfunction in most cases.

I have on question to all our zappers, I don't know who has them but if anybody got a new Medtronic, Do any of you feel the ICD area heating up? This is important. I am not trying to start a rumor. That depends on the recall. Think about it - if you die then they really have a really big lawsuit on their hands. My Medtronic was recalled 5 most after implant back in 2000, and it was replaced free of charge. It was one of 50 units implanted in the USA.

Turk,

With the ever

changing models I think you have to be more specific. I have an Intrinsic model 7288 and have no heating that I

notice.
