Guest guest
I tried this several years ago... inviting ZapLife.org readers to share their stories with intent to compile the best stuff into a book and make it available via POD (print on demand) and divvy up any profits among contribtors - with % determined by word counts used. Alas, there was a scoundrel (I think in ton, SC) who absconded with material posted on BBS and copied it into a pamphlet he put together (aka plagiarized) THEN TRIED TO SELL IT ON E-BAY AND OTHER PLACES AS A PDF FILE FOR $10+!!! Lead to a rather ugly Zapisode... rivalling the angst suffered by the 2005 uprising (over acceptance of a sponsor) that nearly lead to me pulling the plug on *all* ZapStuff. I still think the " serial authorship " idea was a great one... and would be willing to try it again if there's an interest. Even though a bit too busy to monitor and post here every day... I stll read everything. And I KNOW... each and every one of you here and on the BBS have a GREAT story to tell. Each of those, whether an epic or a vignette, deserves to be shared - so others facing what we have can learn how to cope with what we have found/experienced on our own for (collectively) thousands of years. If you like the idea... start now to assemble you own personal epistle. Working now for DoctorEdlund.com and helping get his third book ready for publishing... I am MUCH better prepared now to take such a product to " market. " OK... gotta go. People lining up here in the hotel to get on this machine. Stay well.... Guest guest
Great idea, Duffer, my man! Yes, I remember that particular fiasco. In some ways, it was worse than the " dessertion debacle " (as I call it) that occured years later. Did say " sappy " or zappy " ? I think we all got both. LOL. Zippy and I don't have any tales, but the ghost of Iggy and I do (Iggy's " corpse " on display in my living room). I say, let's do it!
