Chantilly, Va. - TVWorldwide.com, a fast-growing web-based global Internet

TV network, announced that it will host a webcast on December 17, 2003 at

10:30 A.M. (EST) live from TVWorldwide's Studios in Chantilly. The free

webcast, which can be viewed at www.at508.com, will feature Assistant

Secretary of Education, Dr. Pasternack, the Executive Director of the

Council for Exceptional Children, Dr. Drew Allbritten, NEA Senior

Professional Associate for Special Needs, Patti Ralabate, and Assistive

Technology columnist, . On November 18th Dr. Pasternack

resigned his position at the U.S. Department of Education in order to pursue

work in the private sector. In a letter to President Bush, Pasternack said

he felt he could " continue to serve children with disabilities and their

families in the private sector while at the same time trying my best to

achieve the educational goals that you have set for our country. " The " No

Child Left Behind " agenda that Dr. Pasternack was working on encapsulates

the Bush Administration's plan for meeting the educational needs of disabled

children. The outlines of this agenda and its implementation have created

controversy within the disability community. Recently, the NEA stated

" Despite the allure of its name, the so-called " No Child Left Behind " Act

(the Elementary and Secondary Education Act) focuses on punishments rather

than help, federal mandates rather than local flexibility, and privatization

rather than teacher-led, family-oriented solutions. " No Child Left Behind "

presents real obstacles to efforts by teachers and support professionals to

help every student succeed. " The roundtable discussion will allow the

panelists to present their perspectives concerning the implementation of the

Bush Administration's policies, as well as address the outlook in the year

ahead. Visitors to the live webcast will be able to ask questions of the

panelists via e-mail - - providing a fully interactive forum for sharing of

information. We request that questions submitted by e-mail be done as far in

advance as possible in order to ensure that they are asked of the panel. The

event will be archived in fully accessible format using the captioned video

streaming of TVWorldwide.com's " webcapting " SM process.

" As a long-time developer of streaming media content for those with

disabilities we are excited about producing the webcast of this important

national policy discussion, " commented Dave Gardy, Chairman and CEO of

TVWorldwide.com. " Thanks to compelling programming such as this, the AT508

channel has grown rapidly over the last year. We again expect a huge

audience and our engineers are preparing our servers to accommodate the

event's webcast. "

The event will be archived for viewing at www.at508.com and

www.tvworldwide.com. Participants should have the free Real Video Player

installed prior to the event and should log on by 10:15 AM (EST) on December

17th. The webcast will run from 10:30 to approximately 11:15 AM (EST) on

December 17th.
