Well, I've finally gotten there! I graduated on Saturday with my Bachelor of

Science Degree in Elementary Education, summa cum laude after 4 and a half years

of school. It was a very memorable moment for me, realizing that you can

achieve anything you set your mind to. The most touching moment was walking in

procession and seeing trying to find me among the hundreds who were dressed

alike in a black cap and gown and when he finally did, he gave me a great big

smile and a " thumbs up. " How awesome is that?!!!!

I may have a job right after Christmas too! My cooperating teaching who I did

my student teaching with got another job in another school district so I

interview for the position tomorrow. Everyone seems to think they will give it

to me since I know the kids and have been teaching them for the last 2 months.

I had my heart set on a K-4 classroom, but this is a 6th grade English/Lit.

position in the Reading School District (urban in every sense of the word). The

kids are extremely challenging but I'll take the job just to get experience!

Here's keeping my fingers crossed!
