Guest guest
congrats Jackie. Good job. way to go. high five. etc. etc. :-)))) Joy PS, on the teaching jobs being hard to find, the elementry positions are the hardest, this will be changing here in MN, and probably other states, when the current bunch start to retire, but I figure alot of them still have about 10 yrs left before retirement, so take what you can now, a foot in the door helps. My oldest in teaching 2nd grade after doing 3rd grade for 2 yrs, but she had to move south (phoenix) to get the job her roommate from college stayed here and is still looking three years later, so grab what you can now. :-)
Guest guest
Congratulations Jackie!! What an awesome accomplishment. Best of luck on the interview! Sharon H. Mom to , (12, DS) and , (8) South Carolina I've done it!!!!!!!.......non ds > > Well, I've finally gotten there! I graduated on Saturday with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education, summa cum laude after 4 and a half years of school. It was a very memorable moment for me, realizing that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. The most touching moment was walking in procession and seeing trying to find me among the hundreds who were dressed alike in a black cap and gown and when he finally did, he gave me a great big smile and a " thumbs up. " How awesome is that?!!!! > > I may have a job right after Christmas too! My cooperating teaching who I did my student teaching with got another job in another school district so I interview for the position tomorrow. Everyone seems to think they will give it to me since I know the kids and have been teaching them for the last 2 months. I had my heart set on a K-4 classroom, but this is a 6th grade English/Lit. position in the Reading School District (urban in every sense of the word). The kids are extremely challenging but I'll take the job just to get experience! Here's keeping my fingers crossed! > > Jackie, Mom to 16ds, 13, and Bradley 9 > > Click reply to all for messages to go to the list.
