Guest guest
If you attempt a post that you do not see on the board, in the vast majority of cases, there is a good reason for it. Opinions without anything to back them up, complex and esoteric studies that are not explained in one or two simple sentences by the poster (and probably are meaningless to most of us), posts that have no substantive value, posts that just repeat something that has recently been posted by someone else, etc etc. are blocked from going to the board by one of the moderators. We now have almost 2000 people in the group and as a result it is important to keep the " noise " level down or we will sacrifice quality. So we will continue to strive for high quality and meaningful postings, by weeding out what is unnecessary, repetitive, or meaningless. We often attempt to notify people offlist if they have tried to post and the post does not go though. But with so many members, during times of high traffic, that is sometimes impossible. At times, an attempt to reach people off list is met with a " returned message " that their mailbox is unable to accept mail (Logan, are you listening?). So check to make sure you can receive mail at the address you use for this group. Thanks to everyone for your cooperation. As always we are always open to suggestions for running the show better. An official rebuke, as by a legislature of one of its members. I was just referring to your disapproving tone regarding some recent posts. Hey I restarted my CRON diet today - guess I'm not as fat and happy as usual. In other words - maybe a bit sensitive today. Ever notice on this board that some of the participants seem to be a bit on edge? Hope this is not a permanent condition of the CRON diet. (Think I read something about a cranky CRON mouse that tried to bite it's handlers :-) > Are we censoring important posts that might stimulate interesting > discussion? You might be inadvertently by " rebuking " (synonym - admonish) some posts. On the other hand you might be " provoking " more rebuttals. Heck if I know. I DO NOT want to sound too critical of your CRON board however because I'd have to give it and it's participant very high " marks " for knowledge and for interesting material presented. And that's about the last $0.02 from me today. a=z
