Guest guest
Hi : As regards my remarks on this issue: the Health Professionals Followup Study found a doubling in the risk of advanced prostate cancer, as you can see here: " In a Harvard study of male health professionals, men who drank two or more glasses of milk a day were almost twice as likely to develop advanced prostate cancer as those who didn't drink milk at all. " http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/calcium.html And PMID: 1745489 found that milk consumption increased the risk of prostate cancer by a factor of FIVE: " There was a significant trend in risk as regards frequency of milk consumption: compared with nondrinkers or occasional milk drinkers, the relative risk (RR) was 1.2 (95% confidence interval, Cl, 0.7-1.9) for 1 or 2 glasses per day and 5.0 (95% Cl 1.5-16.6) for 2 or more glasses per day " . So, obviously, milk is a food I take some trouble to de-emphasize. Rodney.
