all:

I belong to a group of ex-USAF flyers who rode in the back end of those recon planes no one ever talked about during the Cold War and are still flying today. We are pretty active on line with serious discussions on a lot of topics that are unrelated to our service time and work.

We also have an annual reunion get-together, ususally in San , Texas. We also have smaller gettogethers throughout the country where there are those that live near each other. Similar meetings might well be appropriate for those Zappers who live close enough and are healthy enough to travel for a lunch or something similar where they can compare notes, discuss health isues and complain about spouses making them tdo to much housework.

Such gatherings would bring together those of us who not only share this marvelous life-saving piece of equipment, but it would also bring into play the local medical facilities and care that we are using. We can discuss the good and the bad, the places to seek out and the places to avoid. We can talk about problems indiginous to the area--climate, travel, the local economy . . .

such is just a suggestion. I live in California's Central Valley, about halfway between Sacramento and Bakersfield. there's some excellent medical care in Sacramento and Modesto, not much in Merced, okay in Fresno, and I don't know about Bakersfield. I am also only about 100 miles from Stanford, 120 from San Francisco. Geographically there are many subjects to talk about for those within an hour of where I live.

My problem is that since my last stroke, I no longer drive because of a vision problem. I suspect other zappers have similar travel restrictions in addition to financial ones, but unless people consider such meetings, they'll never happen.

From California where if we ever do have a Zapper get-together, I promise not to show up naked. We've all had enough shocks. Besides that I prefer to make people laugh at my jokes not my body.

Bill
