I am sure we are closer to argreement than disagreement.

Just some additonal comments..

>> which is quite in line with Department of Agriculture 2005 recs or Institute

of Medicine

recs (I believe some of them are now going down to 1200 mg/day - but few people

really do this).

The IOM guidelines,

Up to the age of 50 - < 1500 mgs

Over 50 - < 1300

Over 70 - < 1200

Over 90 - Do what ever you want....

......just kidding :)

From the USDA 2005 Report...

According to data from NHANES III (IOM, 2004), the median intakes of sodium

among adult men and women age 31 to 50 are 4,300 mg and 2,900 mg of sodium per

day, respectively. One quarter of adult men exceed 5,200 mg of sodium per day,

and one quarter of women exceed 3,500 mg per day. Approximately 95 percent of

adult men and 75 percent of adult women exceed the UL of 2,300 mg of sodium per

day, and 100 percent exceed the AI of 1,500 mg of sodium per day.

Also... In its report, Diet, Nutrition and the Prevention of Chronic Diseases

(2003), the World Health Organization set an upper limit of 70 mmol (1,600 mg)

of sodium per day as a means to lower blood pressure.

To me, your plan seems waaay to complicated for me. I understand the EOD plan

but it wouldnt change what I eat, just when.

And, not to sound obnoxious or arrogant, but I am not interested in what other

people do or dont do in their daily lives in relation to deciding what I (or

others) shoud do on CR-ON. Most people have no interest in CR-ON or their

health so I dont see the relevance.

Regards

Jeff
