Guest guest
For those who are newer to exercise, I'd recommend this one. It's not a piece of cake by any means, but it has a nice variety, is never intimidating, and has nice music, starting out with Spanish guitar. Overall, this can be considered a dancer's workout, using your own body weight as resistance. No equipment is needed. starts you off with some stretches with gentle movement, that gradually becomes a flowing and stretching dance, incorporating a few plies. The next segment is actual ballet, and I really liked this section for the balance work, which I need, and also I haven't done ballet since my mom forced me and my dad to take it with her when I was a teenager. Thank god Dad was there to take it with me! He looked even klutzier than me! :-) Following that is some yoga, and the next 20 minutes is all pilates. has a very professional demeanor, but didn't mirror her cueing for the first section, and at the risk of sounding like a broken record, there is just no excuse for not mirroring. If I can do it in my classes, then there is no excuse for these seasoned professionals! Her class are all lithe and lovely, and look like ballet dancers. This workout has a lovely, nonstop energy flow to it. You do not once ever get bored. I'm settting it aside as an add on or low energy day tape, but it would be a super intro to pilates and corework tape for a beginner. I have 2 more in this series I'd like to do for this week.
