Guest guest
We are suppose to get up to 20 inches by tomorrow night here on Long Island, and I can believe it the way it is coming down. The kids got stranded at school because of the roads and we had to go pick my son up at 5:30 PM. Buses wer WAAAAY behind schedule. He was having a grand old time playing games and watching movies. My husband said he doesn't remember when the roads were so bad!! Winter sure has hit early and with a vengeance!! Loree Winter has arrived! How is everyone on the east coast doing with this winter storm? We got about 7 inches this morning and now there is a second round of snow, which could add up to a foot. I love it! stayed home with his sisters today and I think he " got it " about missing school due to snow.

LOL (mom loved not having to drive to work on bad roads........course now they end up on roads with endless road construction and getting stuck in rush hr traffic so there are tradeoffs, hehe) PPS I do hope we get enough snow for the snowmobiles this year seems it's about time for us to actually get a good snowy year. :-)

Guest guest
One can surely hate the snow living here with more than a foot in the big apple- put all those clothes on, boots, etc. Clean off the car, shovel the steps to the house, climb over snow mountains to get in or out of the car, drive really slow, park on another mountain of snow, hold amanda's hand while walking, watch out for icy patches, and then do it all over again the next time one ventures out! - wishing I was somewhere way southern right now. Guest guest
Having grown up in northern Ohio, I am very familiar with the scenarios is describing here! But unlike her, I didn't like the cold. So it wasn't any fun to me. Except when I would take a walk on the local college campus, all alone, with the snow frozen and crunchy and sparkling in the moonlight, and a fluffy snow falling still. You could hear a pin drop! THAT was amazing. But the rest of it I could live without! That's why I live in TN now and have very little snow and cold weather to deal with!!!!! A very merry holiday season to all!!!!! Toni-mom to Jasmine-12-DS-the light of my life(finally) Life is like an ocean wave--sometimes you just have to go with the flow!
