Guest guest
I assume that the following should state "those that did take it". The control group was taking 9 grams per day. I take 6 grams per day for high blood pressure, with my average BP without L-arginine being 140/90+. With L-arginine, I float from 117/68 to 123/75. I have been doing this for 11 months now. I am 53, haven't had any infarctions, am reasonably healthy, moderately active, including lifting weights 3 times per week. L-arginine is dramatically more effective than the scripted drugs from my doctor. I wonder what the autopsy results were of the study participants. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ L-Arginine in Acute Myocardial Infarction Prior clinical studies have suggested that L-arginine, a popular health supplement, may reduce vascular stiffness and improve endothelial function in older patients. Schulman and colleagues conducted a randomized, placebo-controlled trial to assess whether adding L-arginine to standard therapy reduces vascular stiffness and improves ejection fraction in patients 6 months after a first ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. The authors found that compared with placebo, L-arginine did not improve vascular stiffness measures or ejection fraction and may be associated with a higher risk of postinfarction death in those who do not take it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
