Guest guest
Hello! I am new to this CR stuff. I've been researching it for a little while and decided to start with it. I am young and overweight (5'6 " and 207 lbs), and I'm hoping CR will help me not only lose some extra pounds, but become healthier than I've ever been. I'm hoping to get support from YOU GUYS, as I don't have it at home with a husband that likes to eat junk food all the time. I'm grateful this group exists and would even like a buddy to keep in communication with... so he/she could keep tabs on me, and I could keep tabs on him/her. If anyone is wishing for the same, please let me know. Thank you!

Is there another group that is for the un-intellectual, such as myself? I haven't a clue what you guys are talking about most of the time...well...all of the time. HELP! Guest guest
AND, I think CR is easy in the sense most what we do is reduce calorie intake. I started by keeping track of what I was eating, then reducing it. That's basic CR, but we want to ensure also we get the necessary nutrients. And that varies from CRONie to CRONie. TOL, I think the first step is stop gaining weight. Second reduce calories to the point you don't gain or lose - you may be surprised how much you can lower intake and not lose weight. If you have a weight goal, you might lower intake more, but don't do anything drastic - go slow. Regards. RE: [ ] Newbie! I'm new, too...but you guys are talking waaaaaaaaaaay over my head! Guest guest
If you change WHAT you eat, you will reduce your calories without effort. All newbies should have read the file: " CR Made Easy " under " Beginning CRON " . A beginner's plan is laid out in several easy steps. If you read and follow them, you are 90% there. The other 10% (reading food labels, substituting healthy fats, fine tuning etc) will come with time. I can give a guarantee that if you follow the steps in the file, you will be off to a wonderful start. on 1/5/2006 12:05 PM, jwwright at jwwright@... wrote: I think the first step is stop gaining weight.
