Guest guest
HI ; Has your Doc recommended Slow Mag 64 to you for your arrhythmias? It is a magnesium supplement that my doc has recommended and I have taken it for more than 6 years - I don't feel any arrhythmias. I stopped taking it for 3 mos and by PVCs and arrhythmias were felt big time. I know this helps ease my mind. Talk to your Doc about. There are no proven studies on this because magnesium is sooo cheap (you can et a generic version at Costco for $5.00 a bottle!), that researchers wouldn't spend big money on a study. But my cardio who is head of heart transplant at UCSF Stanford recommends it. Hope this helps you. ~guin P.S. Not ALL States have the law that you cannot drive for 6mos after a shock. California only states you cannot drive for 6 mos after loosing consciousness. Going to EP today! Hi all,I have a follow-up appointment with my EP today, hopefully I will not have had a shock for the 2 months since my last one. I haven't *felt* any, but 2 of the 3 I've had were while sleeping, so...I just want to get stabilized and not be shocked of course, and be able to drive again! (not supposed to drive for 6 months after a shock, I know many people don't follow that recommendation, but while I'm in the Navy I have to, or get in lots of 'hot water' if I have an accident) And I'd like to avoid being put on a stronger anti-arrythmic, currently the EP is keeping me on just Coreg and Diovan, unless I keep having more shocks. Guest guest
Thanks for the info, Guin. My doctor has not recommended any supplements, but also says that they 'can't hurt'. I have been taking a regular Magnesium from the store, but not SlowMag. Would it be better to take that instead? Where can you find it, GNC or similar stores? And for everyone, I have had no shocks or pacings since February! (knock on wood) So I am doing well so far.
