Guest guest
Will try chopping with it, I thought only the 5200 was able to grind grains with the attachment sold with it. And I don't see a reverse on the 4500 I have , just a high and low switch and on and off, but maybe I'm missing something? I'm really new to this. Am making smoothies, have done soups and a few ice creams. The ice creams get really hard after putting in the freezer though. I usually warm them a few minutes in the microwave to make them soft enough to eat. -- If it is not broke don't fix it..... I have a 4500 I use every day, and unless I need to replace it, I will still be blending chopping and grinding. They took the reverse which I still use off the newer ones. and I hate to give up the reverse on my 4500. To me it is an important feature to dislodge things under the blade. A quick bump in reverse and the food is loose and back into motion. As long as there are parts I will continue the use of my 4500. It was a hand me down but I still would not trade it for anything else. Still have the metal container and the manuals and recipe books. Love it. Guest guest
I think Gale has a 4000--a whole different design (and probably the coolest looking kitchen appliance ever made). The big difference between the 4500 and the 5000/5200 is the variable speed option. Not only that but the lowest and highest speeds are both lower and higher than on the 4500, making it more versatile and more powerful. If it is not broke don't fix it..... Guest guest
It says turbo blend 4500 right on the vitamix so it has to be that. -- If it is not broke don't fix it.....
