Guest guest Posted February 6, 2005 Report Share Posted February 6, 2005 hi everyone! today was pilates and yoga day! for pilates i chose to do winsor pilates: 20 minute workout ive done this one alot in the past, but not recently. it seemed too easy except for one move -- the seal. this is similar to 'rolling like a ball' except you tap your heels together three times while you are rolled back and then it is hard to get rolled forward again, where you are supposed to do another three heel taps. the heel taps obviously remove the momentum that one gets going with rolling like a ball, forcing you to really use your powerhouse to roll forward. i need to practice this move and hope that it is part of winsor's accelerated workout which i want to do the next time i do winsor pilates. for yoga, i chose to do baron baptiste's 'power yoga : Level 1 the initial challenge' which is a dvd that laura sent to me! (because she hates baron...LOL) thankyou again laura i did only the first 20 minute routine which is all sun salutations and is supposed to be energizing. there are two other routines on the dvd -- the 3 together create a 50 minute routine, i think it is. anyway, doing sun salutations over and over gets to be kind of boring but i didnt seem to mind today. i was really concentrating on form and getting a good stretch. i felt great afterward, i think that it did energize me. i like baron except for his use of 'people' all of the time (which ive said before and everyone agreed with me about this habit of his). tomorrow is cardio and upper body. im going to do floor aerobics with charles harris -- i expect that this is 20 minutes of easy stuff... i will let you know what i think about it but im not expecting to get a really fabulous workout out of this one :/ for upper body im going to do power half hour arm toner with tony horton and his cute friend bobby and i know that i already love this 30 mins of upper body weights. :*carolyn. -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
