Guest guest
Yoga Break: The Practice of Study One of the fundamental paths of the traditional yogic lifestyle is study, known as "Svadhyaya." The idea is that study of the important yogic texts doesn't just increase your knowledge about yoga — it also assists your spiritual growth. This week, it's time to redefine the idea of a "yoga break." Instead of taking a break to practice a physical posture, why not take a break to learn something new about yoga? This might mean reading a book about yoga's history or practice, taking a different kind of class, or researching a pose online. Spending some time in study is a wonderful way to take a break from the rest of your day. And by putting you in the humble position of a truth-seeker, study provides a path to spiritual growth. So this week, take your break by increasing your knowledge. Not only will you learn more about yoga — you'll also learn more about yourself.
