I used a code online and thought it didn't work because of the way it adds

everything up. But in the end it was right. I got the raw food package and it

showed the total, plus tax, plus $25 shipping, minus $25.

Great News!!  Welcome to the family!  I think you will just love

it!

Even my husband is pleased now -  he hasn't actually used it,

but I heard him telling someone on the phone today that my " fancy

blender " makes great sauces, dressings, and " smoothie things " . 

I had to giggle to myself….

Maybe someday he'll be curious enough to actually try it himself….

then again… maybe not.  :-)

No worries Carol - I just posted that so that everyone else could see that Vitamix Lady was an option. And I've recently decided to keep one child home as a slave/personal servant til I'm old and decrepit, so I'll be saving on that kid's college education anyway ;-)

This has happened before . You most likely did get the discount - they just don't itemize it. Tell me what you paid and I'll forward the email to Dean at Vita Recipes and he will let us know if you go the discount.Perhaps I'll ask him to look in to changing how his website shows the invoice. The Blend It Up website clearly shows the discount applied.

real good at being so very disagreeable you are relieved to get rid of them,

usually.

I'm enjoying hearing about kindle/ipad as I'd already figured one of those was

in my future. But I got I ought to wait a bit, a very um oh betamax vibe and

yes the prices for ebooks are outrageous. So I really appreciate all the input!

On refurbished, well I wanted one of those shiny new Wolfgang Puck pressure

cookers but the one I wanted was $150 and I was not able to justify the expense

at all. Found Premiere Appliance and they had it for $39 (with free shipping!).

Most of the bad reviews were due to it not working (China mfg) and I reasoned

that at least I knew mine would WORK which it does delightfully.

My husband ignored the Vitamix - then he started using it daily! (he makes fruit smoothies sans greens :-) Once Dad started using it the kids followed.
