I found adapted confirmation ciriculum for Maverick. And the church has someone who is going to volunteer with them every other week to help Mav in confirmation class. The other weeks I am keeping him home and doing the work. It was a compromise. I want to just do it all at home.... I also found a Bible that is an adult Bible, but written on a level for a 3rd grade reader. While this is a bit above what Mav can read now, it is much more appropriate than the childrens' Bibles that are at his reading level. I also found a site that sent me all sorts of posters and handouts for the church. Really great. There are several sp needs adults and children in our church, but until now, no one has pushed for them to really be involved. This too is changing.
