NOOOO!Lew is the eBay seller " vitamixman. " It's a matter of doing the math: lower price = just about anyone else, overpriced = Lew. Vita-Recipes is a nice site; I think Peggy has a life membership and if so, maybe she'll chime in.

You can buy individual recipes one at a time (from Vita-Recipes) or, with a lifetime membership, as many as you like forever.

, for one thinks that the $100 lifetime membership is a good deal (anyone else?); I think it might be eligible for the "vitamixlady" discount.

Do they add to the recipes often? Do things " change up " at all?

No Vita-Recipes is a VM demonstrator that sells stuff :-)Lew has an EBay site and primarily deals on EBay by buying low and re-selling high and ARGUING about shipping with everyone he buys from, but doesn't mind charging a lot for shipping when he's the one selling...

The discount code for Vita-Recipes is Vitamix Lady. My copy of Delicious Blends has more than just smoothies - dips, salsa, soups, etc. The Whole Nectar Power Smoothie book (which is the same size) is all smoothies.

I couldn't agree more to be very wary of Lew Azar - I've had multiple negative dealings with him via EBay.

Yes, indeed. You want to buy it from the Vita-Recipes guy (first link) and if you wait until Lea Ann jumps in, I think she has a discount code for him. Or you can wait to see if it turns up for less on eBay or Amazon. If you purchase from "vitamixman," though, you'll overpay.BTW, the Power Smoothies book is also good and is also out of print so in for a penny, in for a pound... Oh, and observe the price discrepency again: http://cgi.ebay.com/VITA-MIX-POWER-SMOOTHIES-RECIPE-BOOK-USING-VITA-MIXER-/180489235275?pt=Small_Kitchen_Appliances_US & hash=item2a05ff2b4b (I seem to recall hearing that he doesn't combine shipping either).Again, keep in mind that these are very small books but they do contain lots of recipes.

or you can just buy a year membership

,.

Both of the links below took me to the same place - I'm not sure if you meant to copy and paste 2 different links, or if there is something funky on my end.

Can you please resend the link where you bought yours so I know I'm checking out the right one?

Thanks!

It's a nice book and the recipes are all different (it's all smoothies). You can buy it here (which is where I bought mine): http://cgi.ebay.com/VITA-MIX-DELICIOUS-BLENDS-PROFESSIONAL-DEMO-RECIPES-/180472569324?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & hash=item2a0500ddec , or here (which I DON'T recommend--consider this a heads up): http://cgi.ebay.com/VITA-MIX-DELICIOUS-BLENDS-PROFESSIONAL-DEMO-RECIPES-/180472569324?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 & hash=item2a0500ddec . Please note that the eBay seller is charging an extra $3 over the first price (which I think is list) and $6 to ship an item that, with an envelope, should ship for <$3. My recommendation is to avoid this guy like the plague--his name is Lew, he's a hondler, and pretty much everything he tries to sell you can be purchased for less elsewhere...unless he has already bought up all available stock so that he can jack up the price. Others here can confirm.

It's a very small book, so you might want to see if it turns up for less on Amazon or eBay (if one turns up for auction rather than Buy It Now, it's a safe bet that the aforementioned Lew will try to outbid you so that he can resell it). It has some nice recipes and some good ideas; it's put together by the people who developed Whole Nectar: http://wholenectarsmoothies.com/ (Lea Ann can tell you more about this than I--I've never used it).

From time to time they send out new recipes to members. I really like the website and the video's are helpful.I need to be totally honest and tell you that when I joined with a lifetime membership it was shortly after the website was opened and I took advantage of a really great offer. The cost today is considerably higher and one would have to think about it. Personally, today I would have to take a shorter, lower cost plan and determine from that if it would be worth it.Hope this helps and not too confusing. Yes, , I am a life member at Vita-Recipes. It's a nice site, but they don't update the recipes too often. I joined thinking I'd have a never-ending supply of VM recipes, but it hasn't worked out that way. The never-ending supply is right here! I've never had a problem with them overcharging me for anything (that I know of). That's where I first heard of Rapunzel's bouillon. Peggy

Lew's the gouger--Vita-Recipes' prices seem fair for everything.

I have been looking over there site but can find nothing to tell us how much a

lifetime (or other) membership would cost. Can you advise us? If there is no

charge do you end up with a lot of spam and " special offers " instead of the

charges?

I bought the DELICIOUS BLENDS from them yesterday and received a 20% coupon from them that can be applied to any kind of membership. When I went to the website and entered in the information, just before you give your credit card info, they have the prices for each kind of membership. This is after you have entered your information but still at a point where you can opt out. Anyone who wants is welcome to use this coupon code. Here is what I received:Carol You are receiving this email because you recently visited our site and purchased a recipe(s)/product(s), but you have yet to become a member. You will not be disappointed! We will assume you are a Vita-mix® owner. Did you buy a Vita-mix® from a live demonstration? Most people do… Most commonly, many people buy at these demonstrations because the recipes they try taste so awesome, all while being healthy. But, once you get home and start making recipes from the book, they just do not

seem to taste as good as what you tried when you saw the machine demonstrated. As you look through the recipe books that come with your machine further, you will find good recipes, but nothing exactly like what you witnessed when you made your Vita-mix® purchase. Therefore, that is exactly why our site was created. The site is always growing. We have several thousand members. They all were once in the same boat as described above. We believe you have made an excellent investment in your health. As we all know, Vita-mix® machines are not the cheapest things on the planet,

but they are worth every dime. If you truly want to get every dollar back on your investment and then some, then you need to be a member. The Vita-mix® is an amazing machine, and you will love it that much more when the recipes turn out perfect, every time! These recipes are 100% guaranteed demonstrator recipes. Many hours have been put in to learning the recipes. We have created a Special Promo Code – "VitaNow". This special promotion allows you an introductory rate of a 20% savings towards any level of membership that we offer. You will receive unlimited access and downloads to actual demonstrator recipes as well as discounts to any additional products like the soy or spice used by Vita-mix® demonstrators. This is a great price and we will only offer it once! Therefore, take advantage of this offer. You will not be disappointed. Simply, follow the link below, complete the form and use "VitaNow" as your promo code.https://www.vita-recipes.com/MainPages/membership.php--- On Sat, 1/8/11, <kareningotham@...> wrote:From: <kareningotham@...>Subject: Re: Re: DELICIOUS BLENDS Date: Saturday, January 8, 2011, 7:55 AM
