Relax and Renew: Take a Time-Out

If you have children, you may have perfected the art of giving "time-outs." These small breaks allow kids to calm down, reflect on their behavior, and return to their day in a more manageable mood. But what about us? What if we took time-outs on occasion? Consider how rarely you feel centered during the average day. Do you "come back to your center" a few times a day? Just once? Never? What if you took a five-minute time-out three times a day just to take a step back from whatever was going on around you in order to relax, reflect, and prepare yourself for the tasks ahead? Undoubtedly, you'd feel both centered and renewed. So why not try it today?
