Guest guest
Relax and Renew: Get a Massage Feeling stressed? Why not treat yourself to a massage? A massage can be a wonderful complement to your yoga practice, as it will promote the release of toxins (especially lactic acid, which is the source of "sore muscles" after yoga class) and facilitate deep inner peace. There are many types of massage that work well for yoga practitioners, including Swedish, deep tissue, Shiatsu, and Thai massage. Talk to a specialist to learn the type of massage that would work best for your specific physical needs. Can't afford this kind of a treat? Why not learn some basic massage techniques and then trade with a friend? Many studios offer workshops and classes in Thai massage, for example, and you can easily practice its exercises with a friend. When you do get the opportunity to have a massage, take full advantage of it. Avoid chatting with your therapist and instead take deep, meditative breaths as you move, step by step, toward peace.
