Guest guest
Pose of the Week: Thunderbolt Pose (Vajrasana) Are you interested in practicing meditation? If so, you've probably already tried a variety of seated positions, most of which involve crossing your legs or sitting in full or half "lotus" position. If you find it difficult to sit up straight in this position, then Thunderbolt Pose may be just the thing for you. Everyone can benefit from Thunderbolt Pose. It facilitates good digestion while gently stretching the fronts of the legs and the knees. If you have pain in your knees, however, you'll want to skip this one. Here's how to try it: Start on a soft surface on your hands and knees. Step your knees together so that they are touching. Sit back all the way onto your heels. Place your palms on your thighs and breathe deeply. You can remain in this pose for meditation or exit after five to ten deep breaths. Try this pose once a day for improved digestion.
