Guest guest
Hi Does anyone know what is in the blueing agent that you buy for whitening clothes. How safe would it be for inclusion on soaps from Oz >From: " jsharkey " <sharkey@...> Subject: Bluing might make soap blue Many soaps add bluing to them. Someone mentioned azulillo--in Spanish that probably means " bluing " . You used to be able to buy bluing separately in the supermaket. And no, it has nothing to do with Fels Naptha. The blue bars are sold everywhere in South America (to my knowledge--I lived in Colombia), and also in the ethnic grocery stores in Queens, NY (where many Hispanics live). I believe bluing was used to " whiten and brighten " clothing. The blue bars are the standard for washing clothes in S.A.<
