Guest guest
Hello, There are about 100 essential oils that an aromatherapist will commonly use. There are lots of others available of course but it should be noted that some essential oils can double up for several conditions and have similar effects while others are uniquely used for specific purposes. looking at reasonably priced oils for a beginner... hmm... So many, but for starters I would suggest these following ones. Don't forget to check out the safety issues involved before you use essential oils and never use them undiluted. Lavender - Great all purpose oil. This is one that no aromatherapist would ever be without. Tea tree peppermint bergamot frankincense myrrh petitgrain patchouli clary sage lemon myrtle eucalyptus Sweet orange grapefruit cedarwood My personal favourites are neroli and rose for their sublime therapeutic value but then you are getting into costlier oils. I find their benefits are well worth it though. Normally an aromatherapist would only buy their oils after checking their Latin names, country of origin, and reliability of source as there are several species of one plant, different countries whose soil produces varying species and most importantly the grades of oil can vary from organically pure to drastically chemically altered ones. Get a good source, wouldn't advise buying from chain retail outlets or health food shops for that reason. Get good reference books, read everything, take a course, Gather information. - Natasha Kamakura Garden - It's Only Natural - Japan http://www.kamakura-garden.com Aroma Herbal Body Beauty & Skin Care Secrets
