Guest guest
Hi! I'm in a rush (as usual) since i have an early meeting this morning. UGH! I hate meetings... Anyway, I did: Firm Parts - Upper Body -- this is a compilation of the upper body work in the FIRM Classics. I haven't done it in awhile, but as I recall this one always made me sore -- you move from one thing to the next with very little rest. My one complaint is it short changes the biceps, so I fix that by doing bicep curls in place of some of the one arrm rows (the ones Janet Gretsky does). the upper body work runs about 30 min and includes a warm-up and cool down. I skipped the cool down b/c I still hard cardio to do. (and , makes an appearance in this one as well and I believe he talks about testosterone!) For cardio I did Stage 1 of Christi 's Step Heaven. I've had this tape for years, and still can't do Stage 2 - but it is worth keeping for Stage 1 alone. Fun, but not too dificult choreography and good music (popular, with vocals!) I thought it would be an interesting change up to do my cardio after my weights, since i usually do it the other way around. It seems to work okay for upper body, but I don't think I'd do it this way for a lower body workout since my lb might be so fatigued I couldn't keep up with the cardio..... After step I did 10 min of Pilates from Progressive Pilates w/Liz Gillies -- good short Pialtes workout, moves quickly with some different twists on standard Pilates exercises Then I did the warm-up section of Ana Forrest's Strength & Spirit CD - this is forward bends, twists, neck releases, etc. I've been sort of tense lately so this one was a nice addition to round out my morning. I think this ran about 10 min or so. Believe it or not, I'm feeling LESS toned these days, I felt much more toned when I was doing Tae Bo all the time. Strange, huh? Of course my eating hasn't been quite as clean as it should be this week. But I'm working on it - had two decent days in a row so that is something. Anyway, now I must go! Catch up later, Donna
