Guest guest
Yoga Basics: What to Wear If you've been attending public classes for a while, perhaps you've decided that it's time to invest in a yoga wardrobe. But what is or isn't appropriate for class? Can you wear sweat clothes? Regular t-shirts? The answer varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers like you to wear closely-fitting clothes so that they can see your body's alignment and help you correct it. Other teachers don't mind if you practice yoga in your jeans or work clothes! So ask your teacher what his or her preference is, and then decide what you feel most comfortable with. Clothing designed for other forms of movement can be perfect for yoga, as can shorts, tighter-fitting shirts, and, of course, yoga wear. It's not necessary to invest in a special outfit, but, in the end, if new yoga clothes can motivate you to go to class, they're well worth the investment. __________________________________________________
