Guest guest
I've tried every other kind of thin spatula on the market - nothing works as well for me as these Vitamix spatulas. The good about them is that they work and they are relatively inexpensive, the bad - they deteriorate quickly so purchase as many as you can afford. If you are ordering something else from Vitamix you can sometimes convince the customer service representative to throw in a 3-pack of spatulas for free :-) Blessings,Lea Ann SavageSatellite Beach, FL(321) 773-7088 (home)(321-961-9219 (cell)))><'>www.VitamixLady.comwww..com<))>< On Jan 1, 2011, at 9:30 AM, flnancy1958 wrote: I just want to share with any newbies how valuable I have found the spatula to be in getting things out of the very bottom. Guest guest
I think I'm the only person who doesn't like these for their intended purpose; I find my narrow silicone Le Creuset spatula a lot more useful (yeah, it's pretty much the same length). I DO, however, like the Vita-spatulas for shoving the last bit of pulp onto my juicer's cutter when I'm done grinding--they're perfect for that! If you decide you like playing with the thai coconuts, here is a nifty little tool to make "noodles" from them-you can also use it for sweet potatoes or other hard veggies. I just slid the spatula in at the top edge and eased it around, and ALL the meat came out in one piece! It was the perfect tool! And, I felt so proud getting up the nerve to try a young coconut, and then to get the meat out so easily - it was a great day! > > Gnny >

Guest guest
That is very cool. I accidentally deleted the e-mail and I couldn't find the website for the coconut noodler tool. I was lucky to find the posting on here. I'm hoping to order and use for zucchini. Thanks so much. Found the website: http://www.ubraw.com/rawtools.html > > > > Hi all, > > > > Yesterday, I ventured to buy a young (Thai) coconut, and opened it up, poured out the wonderful coconut water to use later, and then found that instead of using a spoon, which takes forever, I used my Vitamix spatula to remove the young coconut meat. I just slid the spatula in at the top edge and eased it around, and ALL the meat came out in one piece! It was the perfect tool! And, I felt so proud getting up the nerve to try a young coconut, and then to get the meat out so easily - it was a great day! > > > > Gnny > > >
