Guest guest
Hi gang, I wanted to start the NY off right.. I put two eggs in my Vita, a bit of milk, some cinnamon and give it a whirl. In a ramakin I put a half cup blueberries, and a half cup brown rice and pour the mix over it.. a spin in the Microwave and I have a great breakfast: protein, grain and fruit with tons of antioxidants! ( I have put apple as well, but I bet you can sub many fruits..
Guest guest
Yum! Do you use the whole egg? Do you think this would work with just egg whites? How long in the microwave? Guest guest
This sounds really good, but I've got lots of questions. ;-> What size ramakin do you use? Do you use uncooked or leftover cooked brown rice...or instant brown rice. Do you cook it on High? How long do you cook it? Do you cover it while cooking? Thanks, Dee in FL
Guest guest
QUICHE! I chop the veggies, cheese, and scramble the eggs at the same time then toss in enough cream or half-n-half to bring the liquid level up to what will fill the 2 pie shells (I usually do 2 at a time) then put in the pie shells, top with a cheese that melts, then bake! Guest guest
I never measure - I eyeball it (and make up the difference in milk/cream). 5-6 I think (for two full size pie crusts).I don't have a recipe either. Eggs, whatever veggies I have on hand or want to use, milk, seasonings (they vary, but always include sea salt) cheese (usually feta in the quiche and cheddar on top).
