Actually I don't see that my food bill went up because I eat more veggies/fruits and less meat. As long as I don't buy Newman's Oreos. Regards. Guest guest
Hi folks: Of course we know what the mediterranean diet is. But it would be interesting to know how they constructed their Healthy Eating Index, and what their evidence is that what is in it is healthy. Then we could make a comparison with what we think is healthy to see if there are any differences. And if there are, whether we are missing some important foods. But as far as I know no one is claiming that the foods in their Healthy Eating Index, when fed to mice, increase maximal lifespan by 30% ; ^ ))) Rodney. --- In , " jwwright " <jwwright@...> wrote: > > That's balanced by the cost of drugs going up (ha). > Actually I don't see that my food bill went up because I eat more veggies/fruits and less meat. > As long as I don't buy Newman's Oreos. > > Regards. > > [ ] Easy CR: Eat like a snob > > > > > Super Easy CR: Just eat like Thurston Horwell III!! > > =-==--==-=-=-=-=-- > > " Conclusion:Data showed that a high adherence to the Mediterranean Diet Score (MDS) and the Healthy Eating Index (HEI), both inversely associated with BMI and obesity, led to higher monetary costs as compared to a low adherence.
