Guest guest
Overall, I like this one. The moves are pretty basic, and I worked up quite a sweat by powering them up, which she encourages if you've mastered the basic legs and arms. There is one blonde chick in the background who does super advanced impossible-for-me moves, and once in awhile goes " bezerk " and is REALLY funky! The music is great, and her studio is near me in nearby Lake Oswego, Oregon. My critiques of this is that she doesn't cue far enough in advance on the 5 count and sometimes the camera angle changes to all their upper bodies as she's demonstrating a brand new combo, which is irritating - I have to follow in my head and pick it up after I see her do it a couple times. She does periodic zone checks for those who are wearing a heart rate monitor. I have one, but forget/neglect to use it, but it really is a great tool to see if you're working out in your target heart rate zone, which is where you burn fat. The dvd is divided into chapters so you can pick and chose what sections you want, but I just did the whole thing. There is an adequate warmup and what she calls a warmdown, but most of all I just adore . She is very upbeat, inspirational, funny, and positive. She'd be great to work out with in the morning. This is not one of the new ones I acquired today; this is one I had before but had never done yet. Off to try another!
