Guest guest
Yoga Break: The Yoga of Lines In our hectic, modern existence, stress is always waiting for us around the corner. And one of the most stressful parts of a busy life is waiting in lines — at the bank, at the supermarket, at the post office, or anywhere else. But you can turn a stressful situation into a yoga break by seeing the line as an opportunity to meditate. Instead of feeling frustrated that you have to wait, stand up straight, center your weight on both feet (rather than shifting back on forth from one leg to the other), and breathe deeply. Tell yourself to settle into the moment. Don't "teleport" somewhere else. Stay there and just be. If you practice this often enough, you'll learn to view lines as an opportunity to relax rather than as an occasion for despair.
