This morning by some miracle I woke up at 4:30 on my

own, ready to work out. I did:

Yoga Conditioning for Weight Loss (Gaiam, 2000) 1 hour

Alan Biceps and Triceps (20 minutes)

Day 5 of the Firm's 5 Day Abs (5 minutes)

I was suprised how pleased I was with Yoga

Conditioning for Weight Loss. Normally I don't care

for Suzanne Deason, and even in this practice I didn't

much care for her remoteness from her audience or her

non-mirrored cueing.

Nonetheless, as a morning practice this as a good one.

The majority of the poses were stretches, and I

really needed this. Stretches are so much more

challenging when you just get out of bed!

The practice takes place outdoors in the desert, with

tall rock formations in the background (Utah?) and the

music is good. she has other instructors with her to

demonstrate several modifications of the poses,

addressing practitioners of all levels. There was a

nice variety of poses, and I enjoyed the stretch

emphasis of it, though there were some strength poses

thrown in too.

I was all prepared to throw this on top of my sell

pile, but I'm hanging on to it. It's not super

strenuous, but great if you're feeling stiff. This

would also be an excellent evening practice as well.

Thumbs up!

I've already reviewed Alan ' Biceps and Triceps

and 5 Day Abs, but these were a nice way to supplement

the yoga practice. I would so love to have a flat

tummy and big guns someday!

Hope everyone has a great workout today!
