As many of you are aware... Mike set up a seondary forum this week.

That allowed moving stuff that lead to angry exchanges (such as

criticism about zaplife adminsitration, etc.) off of the main Zapper

BBS.

Well, this morning, someone posted a message on the primary BBS in

support the banner ads. I got several emails protesting its appearance

with one demand I remove it. Unable to reach Mike, I tried using an

admin tool called PRUNING to move the post from one forum to the other.

Turns out, that was a very bad thing to do... I apparently sent nearly

EVERYTHING to the TwiByte Zone. Still unable to reach Mike, I called

our hosting company... after 40-minutes on hold... the tech said he

would restore the backup from last night. When he did (or thought he

did) what he actually did was to make things much much worse.

Mike is now working on trying to figure out if things can be put back

together.. but it sounds like a task similar to restoring Humpty Dumpty

to "Good Egg" status.

The bike wreck last Sunday... This mess this Sunday.

Think I should I stay in bed from 11PM Saturday till 1AM Monday.

Geez. Now who thought this was easy? hehehehe

Wild Bill posted a pretty sobering revision of the "City of New

Orleans" song to that forum today. As traumatosing as this is... it

pales with what the folks along the north coast of the Gulf of Mexico

are facing as Hurricane Katrina targets the homes of more than a

million people with a category 5 storm. We have MANY readers in that

area... Mona and Eloise in or near New Orleans and Don 36 in Baton

Rouge... and a whole bunch more elsewhere in Louisiana, Mississippi,

and Alabama. Please keep all in the future disaster area in your

thoughts and prayers.

Sorry for breaking the BBS - just when a bunch of great things were

getting discussed.. and so many wanted to post important messages of

condolence, support, and prayer. I hope ya'll can recall and repost

when things get fixed... things such as Florida Blessing from

Brown was priceless!
