Guest guest Posted February 9, 2005 Report Share Posted February 9, 2005 Last week It has been 4 years since I got my ICD. My EPS guy says I might get another 1 to 1 1/2 years out of it. He wants to do a stress test and it is freaking me out. Mind you last time i was taking the stress test i got in to a VT which was 12 years ago. Since then nothing maybe couple of non sustained ones except when i changed my meds after I got my ICD for about 3 months and I got shocked during that time after that nothing but I am terrified. My eps guy says he'll be there but that does not change the fact that, if i get into VT while I am running on that treadmill, even if he is there I will be shocked. It took me a long time to recover from the shocks and i don't want to get in to that paranoia again. Can some of you share your Stress Test experiences with me please. Thanks.
