Guest guest
Robin, Thanks for the compliments. But I must admit, it wasn't so much determination as it was getting ticked off at how much weight I'd gained and the doctors who did it to me. I had gained about 100 pounds in a year due to the medications they had me on. Some of the meds were necessary so my sister could have a baby (I donated eggs.), so I was okay with them, but the others that they gave me to get my hormones back in check weren't necessary and were horrible on my system. Then when I became irritable from that, they put me on anti- depressants, which were even worse. My determination all came from getting so ticked that I quit the meds and became obsessed with exercise trying to stop my periods and prove to doctors that I didn't need their drugs. It was more proving them wrong then anything else. Since then, my determination has taken a steep decline. Now I log everything so that I have accountability to keep me motivated. Logging it on here will help too, I think. Tonya > > Tonya, > Wow...your before and after pics are incredible! Tonya, Oh, yes....although I haven't experienced it personally, I am very aware (I have a doctor of pharmacy degree) of what changes medication can do to the body. Hormones and many antidepressants are notorious for causing weight gain. They do make the weight loss and muscle growth ideals more challenging. Wow! Your thoughtfulness and selflessness towards your sister makes your personal success even sweeter. :-) Robin
Guest guest
Tonya, Being a doctor of pharmacy, I fully understand the diffulties of dealing with metabolic changes induced by medications. It only makes me appreciate your hard work more! :-) Robin > Thanks for the compliments.
