Thanks for letting me post this !!

---------Attention land Soapers!---------

Surrounding states and all who want to make the drive.

Subject: Md Soapmakers Meeting

Date: August or early September

Time: 11:00-5:00

Reason: Why not!!

Location: Steppingstone Museum Havre de Grace Md.

Steppingstone is a 200+ year old farm museum on 160+ acres. I think it would

make a great place for a meeting. The stone farmhouse is rustic. To give you

an idea: school kids come for tours and we wear the period clothes and they

get to churn butter and cook stew and biscuits on the wood stove.

You will probably be asked to bring a covered dish, salad, whatever. Weather

permitting we will eat under the pavilion.

Also-1 toiletry item to be put into a basket for a drawing and 1 bar of soap

to swap.

Volunteers will be needed to demonstrate-Lotion making, swirling,m & p how to

pack bath fizzies. Anything you can think of that would be of interest that

you can help show. ---No volunteers No event----

Which leads me to this-The stove in the kitchen as I said is a woodstove.

That is what you will use to melt oils or warm water etc...How much more

authentic can you get making soap!!

It just depends how adventurous you are. This past Christmas I cooked a

formal turkey dinner for 18 board members on it. It's not so bad.

So, I need to get an idea on participants so I can put it in our schedule

and get the boards approval.

Thanks
