It's like trying to run in water. Yes, I agree! They should have gyms that are just giant sandboxes for people to run around in! Don't be jealous, I've been doing it for 5 years! I still modify poses all the time, such as side angle plank - I can do it for a good 25 seconds or so then it's back to doing it with one knee down. I still can't do crow or the splits. It took me a good couple of years to do plough. Only recently was I able to do the prayer twist while lunging, prior I always had a knee down too. The good news is that it's so exhiliarating when you can finally do something you've been working at for so long! The other good news is that there are lots of tapes/dvd's that aren't as tough as the gym. I really like Hemaleya Behl's Yoga for Urban Living (cheapy at Ross) quite a bit.
