Guest guest
Hi , Cathe, as I'm sure you have found is definately up there in intensity. Step Blast is tricky, I don't have the full version, but I have the Fit TV version and the version from her Timesaver DVD so between these two, I have almost the whole thing. The good thing about Cathe, I find, is that the way she teaches the combo allows you to leave out some of the trickier parts. I'm not good at doing lots of turns, so many times I'll stick with the " base " that she has given me. Some tough Cathe cardio workouts are Interval Max and Maximum Intensity Cardio. I have also heard that her DVD that contains Step Blast and Step, Pump & Jump has a premix that allows you to do the cardio from Step Blast and SP & J - someone on another list did this combo (she is nicknamed " Cathe, jr. " , LOL!) and she said it was TOUGH! Another suggestion I have (although I've never tried her workouts - just read about them) is Mindy Mylrea -- here is a link to some reviews of her workouts - http://www.videofitness.com/instructors/mylrea.php They sound pretty challenging. Another good interval workout is Gin 's Intense Moves - the choreography is basic but the intensity is high (it is another interval workout). http://www.videofitness.com/reviews/miller-im.php Also, you could try creative instructors aerobics (CIA) videos. I have a few and they are pretty challenging. The one I like is CIA 2K07 - here is a link to the review: http://www.videofitness.com/reviews/cia-2k07.php Lots of variety in this one. Here is the link to CIA: http://www.ciavideo.com/ I do think some of the CIA videos may be highly choreographed, though. Also, Charlene Prickett makes some pretty advanced step workouts and her choreography isn't too bad, plus, some are filmed outside. Charlene is pretty chatty, but mostly she talks about fitness. She is also a REAL inspiration, she is close to 60 and has the body of a 30 year old! My current favorite is Crazy for Step - it is a LONG step workout - drawbacks are the music (sort of bland) and it is filmed on a white set. Here is a link: http://www.videofitness.com/reviews/prickett-cfs.php here's a link to more review of Charlene's work: http://www.videofitness.com/instructors/prickett.php Hope this helps!
