Guest guest
Reflection: Unity If you know anything about the history of the word "yoga," you probably already know that it's often translated as "to yoke" or "to join." The practice of yoga is meant to be a practice of connection that reveals to us that no living thing in the universe is ever alone. Yoga teacher Cyndi Lee commented on this at a recent Yoga Journal event. "If you don't understand the principle of connection," she remarked, "Just think about air. We're all in this room together, literally breathing the same air. That's the idea behind yoga. We're all existing in the same world, sharing space, and yoga helps us celebrate rather than fear that connection." This week, think about the people in the world you feel a connection to and they ways you feel connected to them. What would it be like to broaden that circle?
